Game Reviews are articles that state what people think of a certain game or multiple games, it could include comparison to other games, how good the graphics are, if there is a lot of lag, and what they think overall. Ice Hockey - 5/12/2016
Ice hockey is usually played on an ice rink. There are usually two teams with six players on each side, one of them being the Goaltender, the goal is to use hockey sticks to hit a small rubber puck into the other teams goal. The players are on skates and have to pass or shoot the puck into the goal. Players can hit the puck with any part of their body, but they cannot hold the puck in their hand! Now, Ice Hockey is an off-side game which means you can pass the puck forward to your team members, unlike in the 1930's wheb Ice Hockey was an on-side game which means you can only pass it behind you to your team. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins!
Dodge-ball - 5/5/2016
There are normally 10 balls in the center of the court, played with 12 players, 6 on each side. The objective is to get all of your opponents out. The rules are fairly simple, if you catch an opponent's ball they are out, if they hit you anywhere you're out unless hit on the head then it won't count. Once all of one team is out they are declared the winners. The game starts when the instructor says it "GO". There are only ten balls so use them wisely, but don't stand there with the ball for multiple minutes because the game then becomes boring. It is possible to get all ten balls if you are fast when running to them and you must use teamwork. This game can be easy or can be difficult it depends on if you have an actively communicating team. I'd recommend this game to older more active teens 6-12 grade.
Bloodborne - 4/28/2016
The game takes place in a Gothic world, it has a lot of fast pace fighting involved. You need to adapt to the way of fighting in this game, you don't really know were they're going to attack from, its hard to pinpoint. There's a lot of ways to fight, including different weapons and other things you can do to make your character more powerful. In your home base, The Dream, you can make your weapons stronger and you can upgrade your character so that he can do a lot more and take a lot more damage. My favorite weapon right now is the hunters axe, its one of the first weapons you can get in the game and if you upgrade it, it can become a very amazing weapon right of the start. There are a lot of weapons in the game, one of the over all best is the chikage it is a very skilled based weapon, but it requires your own blood to fire it.
Dark Souls 3 - 4/21/16
I wanted to talk about this game because I just got it myself, I have played it for about 12 hours now and its really fun, if you have played any of the Souls games they're the games that just tell the player to figure it out by themselves. I think other games should do this too. The Souls games are known for not holding your hand as you play through the game. If you're one of those gamer's that doesn't like a challenge stop right there and don't go on reading this because this game is a challenge based game. They teach you skills and the biggest thing to learn from this is you need to explore it all if you don't, you won't find anything interesting. Right off the bat you can get some really good weapons, I found one of the weapons that I like from the other games. I believe that you need skill to use any weapon in these games. With the cleric or his spells you can heal yourself with out the use of a healing potion and you always have it on you, so you can always heal yourself with magic whenever needed. There's a lot of new and exciting things to do in this game. There are many different options to the game and everything comes with a prize.
Call of Duty World at War
If you like historical games that answer questions about World War II (WWII) then Call of Duty World at War is made for you. It’s more than just a first person shooter it tells the tale of how terrifying, difficult, and dangerous WWII was. This game will always have you second guessing that bush in the distance you never know who’s watching you through it. This game has two sides to WWII one is in the eyes of a marine named Private C. Miller and his painstaking journey through the Japanese lines and the grief of his fallen allies along the way. The other point of view is in a Russian named Private Dimitri Petrenko eyes as he really shows the might of his motherland (Russia) and how powerful the third shock army is. This game begins on Makin Island when Private Miller watches the torture and execution of his squad and almost the execution of himself but as a Japanese officer is about to end Miller's life he is saved by another squad of marines led by Corporal Roebuck and Sargent Tom Sullivan. They then continue their mission to storm through the rest of the island defeating Japanese resistance and eventually escaping the island to head to the beaches of Peleliu in Palau island. The island has an airfield that you attack because that airfield has planes called zeros that give the Japanese an advantage. So you storm the airfield disabling their defences and taking the island. Meanwhile, the Battle of Stalingrad is held on the Eastern Front on September 17, 1942. Private Dimitri Petrenko regains consciousness in a blood-stained and body-filled fountain, just as German troops execute his comrades. When they leave, Dimitri meets injured Sergeant Viktor Reznov, another survivor, who tells him of his mission to kill German general Heinrich Amsel, who is responsible for the massacres. After killing German soldiers in their way and a duel with an enemy sniper, Dimitri follows Reznov through buildings and streets and they meet up with the remainder of Dimitri's unit, who are about to assault the General's communication post. The gameplay of World at War shares several features with previous iterations of the franchise. You fight alongside AI-controlled teammates. They help during the game's missions by providing cover fire, shooting down enemies, and clearing rooms for entry.
Destiny
First you will have to create your character, there are three races; including humans, EXO (robot\human), and awoken (Blue human with increased agility). You will start the first cut scene (a movie in a game) where your ghost will be searching for your guardian. After that, you will head in a huge building with three large antennas on it, keep following your marker until you reach a test ship. When you reach the ship you will leave that area and fly to the last safe city.Once you arrive at the tower you will meet the vanguards Cayde-6, Zavala, and Iroka Ray. Cayde-6 Is the hunter mentor saddled with tower duty because he lost a bet. Zavala is a commander of the city, he trains other titans to master their skills. Iroka Ray is a scholar who tutors new warlocks to learn new tactics. You will also meet the gunsmith and the cryptarch, the gunsmith handles most things dealing with weapons. The cryptarch is the person who encrypts your engrams and can give you engrams. When you’re on Earth and beyond you will come across a vast variety of engrams uncommon, rare, legendary, and exotic. Starting with the uncommon, a green engram that holds weak gear it will drop depending on your light level the gear out of these are not that great. Next we have the rare, a blue engram that holds normal gear that is good depending on your light level. Now we have the legendary, a purple engram that holds great gear but will only drop at the highest level (40) the gear is determined on your light level. Finally we have the exotic, a yellow engram that holds outstanding gear will only drop if at max level (40) and your luck to get one.
